Deskoll Nikola
Nikola Vujčić, an associate professor at the Department of German Studies, Faculty of Philology and Arts, University of Kragujevac. He teaches linguistic subjects in undergraduate and masters programmes: Word Formation in German, Lexicology, Text Linguistics and Introduction to Contrastive Analysis of German and Serbian. He completed his undergraduate studies in German Language and Literature at the same Faculty, while he continued his master’s studies at the Institute of German Studies, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Rostock in Germany, where he also received his Ph.D. in 2018. In his dissertation in the field of linguistic discourse analysis, published in Germany, he analysed the discourse on the dissolution of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in the German weekly magazine DER SPIEGEL. He is currently co-authoring the only bidirectional phraseological translation dictionary for the German-Serbian language pair. His areas of interest include applied linguistics in the broad sense, contrastive discourse linguistics, formulaic language, as well as lexical semantics and pragmatics.
Deskoll Julijana
Julijana Vuletić Đurić is an assistant professor at the Department of German Studies at the Faculty of Philology and Arts in Kragujevac, where she teaches courses in the narrow field of German language and linguistics. She graduated from the Humboldt University in Berlin in 1986, after which she worked as a German translator at the “Zastava” car factory until 1996. At the same time, she worked as a part-time teacher of German at the Faculty of Economics in Kragujevac, the Second Grammar School in Kragujevac, the Medical School and the First Technical School in Kragujevac. Since 1989, she has been working as a certified court interpreter for German. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, she worked as a freelance translator for the Kragujevac City Assembly; at the same time, she began working at the Faculty of Philology and Arts in Kragujevac as a lecturer and senior lecturer in German. At the beginning of 2016, she received the academic title of Doctor of Philological Sciences at the same faculty. Her research interests focus on contact linguistics, translation studies and phraseology. Throughout her academic career, she has published numerous scientific and professional papers in these fields, as well as several literary and professional translations. Her monograph The Serbian Language in Germany: Changes and Replacements will be published in 2024. She has actively participated in many academic meetings and conferences in Serbia and abroad, as well as in professional development seminars.
Deskoll Georgina
Georgina Frei (formerly Dragović) serves as an assistant professor at the University of Kragujevac, tasked with training prospective teachers of German as a Foreign Language. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Fribourg in Switzerland, specializing in foreign language teaching. Her professional journey includes a range of roles, such as teaching German as a Foreign Language in mainstream schools, lecturing on the German language at universities in Serbia, translation/interpretation, and working as a research assistant at the University of Education Fribourg in Switzerland. Her research pursuits span various domains, such as web-based teaching and learning, integrating artificial intelligence into foreign language instruction, implementing drama pedagogy, and refining grammar teaching methods. Georgina has developed and facilitated numerous workshops and online training sessions across Europe, disseminating her expertise on these subjects. Additionally, she has actively engaged in conferences, presenting her research findings. Beyond academia, Georgina contributes as a multiplier within the Goethe-Institut and holds membership in the Association of German Language Teachers in Serbia.
Deskoll Marija
Marija Nijemčević Perović is an Assistant Professor at the Department of German Studies at the Faculty of Philology and Arts in Kragujevac, where she teaches courses in the academic field of Didactics of German Language and Literature. She graduated in 2010, followed by earning her master’s degree in 2013. She completed her academic education in 2021, obtaining a doctoral degree in Philological Sciences at the same faculty. Her research interests are focused on the field of glottodidactics, with a particular emphasis on the education of future German language teachers. Throughout her academic career, she has published several scientific papers on the application of learning strategies, performative approaches and digital tools in teaching and learning foreign languages, thereby making a significant contribution to the development of the aforementioned scientific field. She has actively participated in numerous scientific conferences, seminars and professional development workshops. Particularly noteworthy is her role as the author and implementer of professional development programs for teachers, providing a significant contribution to the improvement of pedagogical practices in the field of educational work. She had the opportunity to participate in teacher exchange programs through the Erasmus+ program, which further enriched her professional profile. Besides her native Serbian language, she is fluent in German and English.
Deskoll Aleksandar
Aleksandar Nikolić is a teaching assistant at the Department of German Studies at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad, where he conducts classes in the narrower scientific fields of Morphology, Syntax, Phonetics and Phonology as well as Lexicology of the German language. He graduated in 2017, after which he will finish his master’s studies in 2019. In the same year, Aleksandar enrolled in doctoral academic studies at his home faculty in Language and Literature – language module. Research interests are focused primarily on the research of particles in the German language, which is also the subject of research in his doctoral thesis. During his academic career, he has published several scientific and professional papers on particles in Serbian and German. In addition to his primary field of interest, Aleksandar also published scientific works in the field of phraseology of the German language, as well as culture-specific language. He actively participated in numerous conferences, as well as professional training seminars and workshops, of which he singles out the translation section of the Department of German Studies in Novi Sad, which resulted in the publication of the translation of the novel “Gegavac” by the Austrian writer Karin Peschka. He also points out his participation in the GDSD project in cooperation with the Faculty of Pedagogy in Weingarten, the Faculty of Philology and Arts in Kragujevac and the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad.
Deskoll Dijana
Dijana Stojić (formerly Jagodić) is a teaching assistant at the Department of Computer and Software Engineering of the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Čačak, where she teaches a group of subjects from the narrow scientific field of Computer Science. She graduated in 2011, after which she finished her master’s studies in 2012 and obtained the title of Master of Electrical and Computer Engineering. She is currently a doctoral student at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science module. As a doctoral student, she was a scholarship recipient of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, during which she joined the Laboratory for Computer Science at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, where she was later employed. Her research interests are in the areas of application and implementation of artificial neural networks and the application of non-invasive optical methods in the diagnosis and monitoring of spinal scoliosis. She has published several scientific papers at conferences in the country and abroad.
