The German-Serbian Collocation Dictionary for Teaching German as a Foreign Language (DeSKoll) was developed as the result of a project within the framework of the Program for Outstanding Projects of Early-Career Researchers – PROMIS 2023. It was carried out by the Faculty of Philology and Arts at the University of Kragujevac in cooperation with partners from the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Novi Sad and the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Čačak.

This is a bilingual digital German-Serbian collocation dictionary designed for use in German as a Foreign Language (DaF) teaching. As a corpus-based resource, the dictionary does not merely pursue lexicographic aims, but also includes explanatory examples, collocation exercises, and other didactic elements that contribute to its multifunctionality.

The linguistic, didactic, and technical teams worked closely together throughout the two-year development process in order to harmonize all dimensions of the collocation dictionary and thus provide German learners with the richest possible learning experience.

The digital format of the DeSKoll dictionary enables regular updates and expansions, ensuring that the resource remains up to date. Contextual information and cross-references within the entries further support learners in understanding the nuances of collocations and in acquiring a more natural use of the German language. The DeSKoll dictionary is also available through a mobile app for Android and iOS devices.
