Workshop for Teachers of German

A workshop was held on 13 December 2025 at the Hotel “Kragujevac” to familiarise teachers with the DeSKoll collocation dictionary. Teachers of German from various cities across Serbia attended the event, ranging from Niš to Novi Sad.

During the workshop, participants gained a detailed understanding of the DeSKoll project, the concept of the collocation dictionary and its applications in German language teaching. Practical work was emphasised throughout, with teachers trying out various activities for practising collocations and designing their own teaching sequences in which the dictionary could be used to support the development of students’ collocational competence.

The workshop concluded with a discussion of the proposed lesson ideas, an exchange of experiences and an evaluation of the dictionary and workshop. Participants expressed great satisfaction with the organisation and content of the workshop, and said they were willing to introduce the DeSKoll dictionary to their colleagues and students, and apply it in their teaching practice.
