On 28 and 29 November,
the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Zagreb held
an international conference to mark the 130th anniversary of the establishment
of German Studies in Zagreb. The conference was titled “German Studies – On the
History, Present and Future of a Discipline”, and the project leader, Nikola
Vujčić, presented the project and the concept of the dictionary. The
presentation attracted significant interest from regional colleagues, who
recognised the dictionary’s potential for use in other languages of the former
Yugoslavia closely related to Serbian.
The conference was
attended by more than 50 scholars and researchers from the region, as well as
from German-speaking countries.
